About Us

Troop History
Troop 152 was first chartered in April 2003, with six Webelo Scouts bridging from Pack 152. These six Scouts became the ‘Falcon Patrol’ and Troop 152 was born. Mr. Garrett Mears was the first Scoutmaster, Mr. Don Hiller the Charted Organization Representative and Mr. Joseph Polli, the Troop Committee Chairman.
From these humble beginnings, Troop 152 has grown quickly and currently has over fifty active Scouts, five Patrols and fourteen Assistant Scoutmasters.

Troop Vision
Troop 152 is a Scout run, adult supervised organization, with a goal to provide an atmosphere for growth, in which a Scout may develop into a young adult who is a mature and responsible citizen.

A Scout is supported by: his Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, the Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster, and the Troop Committee Chair. If there is a question, use this “Chain of Command” as a resource.

To accomplish our vision, the Troop provides each Scout with the opportunity to:
Be helpful and to do his best
Develop new interests and learn new skills
Develop self-esteem
Grow through Leadership, Skills, and Training
Handle the responsibilities he has to God, to Country, to others and to himself
Have new experiences
Keep himself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight
Learn the fundamental elements of teamwork
Prepare for new and greater challenges
Take responsibility for his conduct, his appearance, and his achievements
....and foremost: to have FUN

Troop Activities

Troop 152 believes strongly that the key to the scouting program's success is leadership developed through outdoor skills and activities.  We have an active program that encourages the Scout to participate in camping, backpacking, and other oudoor adventure sports such as canoeing, kayaking, climbing, cycling and caving.  As a Scout grows in capability and strength, we also encourage participation in BSA National High Adventure activities such as Philmont Scout Ranch, Florida Sea Base, and Northern Tier.
